Giant Sequioa Hike
This morning we had a great hike among the giant sequioas. The first
stop was at the General Sherman tree. It is the biggest tree in the
world. Not the tallest or the widest, but it has the most wood.
(Sounds like a dam I saw this summer.) It was awesome. Then we took
The Congress trail loop, named for two groves you see while walking,
the house and senate groves. It was very peaceful being in the
beautiful forest with the giant trees. Thank you National Park system!

El Capitan
Here is my mom and I looking at El Capitan at dusk. With the zoom on
her camera you could see climbers hanging in their sleeping bags, but
not with your eyes. They are way up there! Yosemite is absolutely
stunning, which makes it crowded. No room in the inn, so to speak. We
stopped in somebody's reserved spot, had dinner, toasted marshmallows,
got the kids in bed, and hit the road! We are just now driving to a
private rv park for the night. Driving at night isn't so bad; it sure
is quiet. Jessica

Lower Yosemite Falls
After a long drive we finally got out and did a short hike to these
falls. Hmm, must be the dry season. Shelby even hiked in her sparkly
shoes.

Shelby's early pumpkin shopping
Here we are enroute to yosemite. We picked up Pam from Sacramento.
From plane to used rv quite a transition.

Fun day at the farm!
Beautiful weather today at Sauvie Island, 40 minutes outside of
Portland. The island is home to many farms where you can pick fruits
and veggies, flowers, and lavender, and enjoy a corn maze. We came
home with fresh tomatoes and strawberries.

Shelby and a brass pig
We don't know the story behind the pig but it made for a cute pic. I
know what you are thinking "Did they leave Luke somewhere?". He is
alive and well and he doesn't like posing for a pictures as much as
Shelby.
